Barn Restoration

Next to my studio, I have a huge barn of approximately 5000 cubic meters that has been used to store random stuff for more than 20 years. The building was falling apart but it has a beautiful wood structure inside which I really want to keep. So I am restoring it to make a place where we can build even bigger sculptures - like a 10-meter-tall Troll that I want to make and which will not fit inside my current workshop. First, we rebuild the roof, reusing as much of the timber as possible, then we cast a new floor with 80% recycled concrete and then we can start on the inside. Finally, I will install solar panels to provide 40.000 kWh of electricity per year. I can’t wait to see it all come together!
