Kangaroo Kat is a giant recycle sculpture build solely from scrapwood. It is part of a three sculpture piece Thomas Dambo made at a large market in Gold Coast, Australia. The kangaroo was made so that you can go inside it’s pouch, which is a huge hit amongst the kids at the market.
It was named Kat after a girl who volunteered to help Thomas and his team in building the shark along with the other two sculptures. Kat was a hard worker, always spreading good vibes and she even made tacos for the team one day, so Thomas found it fitting to name the joyful kangaroo after her.

The giant kangaroo is 5 meters tall.
