During the olympics in Rio in 2016, Visit Denmark hired Thomas Dambo to make a new Happy Wall to represent innovative Danish art in the Danish camp on Ipanema beach.

The Happy Wall in Rio was a huge success and according to Visit Denmark not a single moment passed without someone interacting with the wall.
