Giant Toolbox

Copenhagen, Denmark

2017

Commissioned by Bauhaus.

I made this giant toolbox for the opening of a new Bauhaus store in Valby in 2017. The tool box and its many tools are scaled in size 10:1 and made from recycled materials including scrap wood and damaged paint.

The giant recycle sculpture has a small door on one of its sides, so kids of all ages can enter the toolbox and feel what it is like to be a tiny creature in a giant world, an experience usually reserved for small animals and fictional characters.
