An all-new outdoor traveling exhibition, Thomas Dambo TROLLS: Save the Humans, tells the story of six young trolls who have noticed that humans are disconnected from nature and have started harming the planet — their own home! Through activism, the goal of the tribe is to help the humans rediscover nature and inspire them to be good stewards of earth. This young group of Trolls teaches people that you can change the world in a positive way with your own hands and your own trash. Each troll brings a story to tell the humans through their unique personalities.
This all-new touring exhibition, featuring Thomas Dambo’s signature folklore-inspired troll sculptures built from recycled materials, will amaze and delight visitors of all ages. The Trolls never cease to inspire with their larger-than life scale and presence. Like many of Dambo’s sculptures, each troll has been created from reclaimed wood, highlighting the artist’s passion as a recycling art activist. His vision is to create art that will inspire people to explore and create new adventures in nature while demonstrating that trash can be turned into something beautiful and unique. His work is scattered across the globe and has driven large audiences at every venue, no matter the country or the Troll.
The outdoor exhibition fuses fairytales, whimsy, and incredible art installations to inspire visitors to explore themes such as nature, art, recycling and reusing trash, the importance of plants and gardens, and more.
